Take control of live shows with pause, rewind (3 speeds), fast-forward (3 speeds), instant replay, slow-mo and 30-second skip. Access the TiVo Central menu with the TiVo button on the remote and easily switch between recordings and live TV at the touch of a button.
The starting point for the TiVo Premiere experience is TiVo Central. From here, you can go to My Shows to see everything your DVR has recorded; search and browse for something else to watch; see what's scheduled to record on your To Do List; or manage your favorite Season Pass recordings.

The Guide makes it easy to see what's coming up on your favorite channels, while still letting you see what's happening on live TV. Or, you can choose to use TiVo's Live Guide, which shows what's happening on each channel for the next several hours.

Never miss the TV shows you want to watch again. Now you can search for, find and record all your favorite shows, every time they're on. Just press the record button on your remote. TiVo takes care of recording conflicts and even offers to add extra time for live events such as sports.
A Season Pass recording keeps track of a show that is part of a series. The TiVo service will make sure to record the show every week–even if the day or time changes.

If you know what you like, but aren't sure when or where it's on, simply create a WishList® search. Select an actor, director, keyword, or category. Every time a show matching your criteria airs, it's recorded.
If you have two or more networked TiVo Premiere series DVRs, you can stream shows and movies as they're being recorded. Premium content can also be shared between two Premiere series DVRs.
Search for shows by title, actor, category or keyword. And you'll not only be searching show and movie titles, but descriptions as well. Your search results will include matches from TV and TiVo web partners like Netflix and Hulu Plus.™

Not sure what you want to watch? Browse through all the shows and movies available by genre and other categories. Premiere's poster-browse display speeds things up by letting you see much more at a glance.
Premiere's Collections feature highlights the best that television and the web have to offer—all grouped into fresh, fun, up-to-date categories.

Labeling something a "favorite" is as simple as hitting the Thumbs Up button with the TiVo remote. By tracking your Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down preferences, TiVo is able to learn your likes and dislikes over time, and provide you with increasingly on-the-mark programming suggestions.
The Discovery Bar features recommendations of movies and TV shows that are similar to ones you already enjoy, as well as titles that are currently popular in the TiVo community. Simply select any item to record it.

All TiVo Premiere series DVRs work with your cable service, including digital cable and Verizon FiOS®.
You can get FREE HD programming with the highest-quality picture from a digital antenna. Just plug an HD antenna into a TiVo Premiere DVR and start watching and recording your favorite shows in eye-popping HD, along with virtually endless entertainment from the Web.
TiVo Premiere series DVRs do not support satellite but you can get a TiVo HD DVR from DIRECTV.
The TiVo Premiere DVR replaces your cable box, but you still keep your cable service. It plugs directly into your cable service to deliver your cable TV programming.
TiVo Premiere works with a CableCARD. Premiere requires a single CableCARD™ from your cable company. The CableCARD acts as a replacement for your cable box. Just insert it into the back of your TiVo Premiere DVR. If you are using a digital antenna for your TiVo service, just plug an HD antenna into a TiVo Premiere DVR and start watching and recording your favorite shows.
Step 1: Connect TiVo to Your TV. Use the included HDMI cable for an optimal HD experience.
Step 2: Connect TiVo to Your Cable Source.
Step 3: Connect TiVo to the Internet. Connect with an Ethernet cable, wireless adapter, or MoCA connection.
Step 4: Power on TiVo! You will be taken through a guided setup program right on your TV.
Your TiVo Premiere DVR requires an Internet connection so that your TiVo service can deliver your daily channel guide updates, stream content from providers like Netflix, Pandora and YouTube, and stream content between two or more networked TiVo Premiere series DVRs.
An Internet connection also syncs your DVR to the TiVo App for iPhone, iPad and Android.

A wired Ethernet network will give you the best and fastest connection to the internet. It's ideal for streaming between multiple Premiere series DVRs or using the TiVo Stream.
Plug the included Ethernet cable into the back of any TiVo Premiere DVR and the other end into your router or Ethernet outlet.

If you are unable to connect your TiVo DVR to the Internet using wired Ethernet but would like to stream between multiple Premiere series DVRs or use the TiVo Stream, then Ethernet over coax (MoCA) is your best option.

Using a wireless network does not support streaming content between two or more TiVo Premiere series DVRs or using the TiVo Stream.
To connect your DVR to the network wirelessly, plug a Wireless G adapter or a Wireless N adapter into the back of any TiVo Premiere series DVR.
